Chris McDonough

When the police need insight and expertise on understanding and catching predators, pedophiles, murderers and rapists, they call upon Chris McDonough.

He is sought after by the media, corporations and community groups for his expertise and understanding of the criminal mind.


Chris's media appearances have included The Oprah Winfrey Show, Dateline NBC, CBS's 48 Hours, the BBC, America's Most Wanted, Frontline and numerous other TV and radio programs.

As a retired homicide detective with more than 25 years of law enforcement experience, Chris trains police detectives for the Institute of Investigative Sciences. He is a contributing author to three books currently used as law enforcement training manuals. He is the national law enforcement spokesman for KinderVision, the country's oldest and largest child safety education program.

Karen McDonough

Karen McDonough is an award-winning investigative journalist and public relations specialist. With nearly 20 years of journalism experience, she has interviewed some of the nations brightest minds and top leaders who've helped shape our country for more than a generation. Among them Dr. Jonas Salk, Nobel-Prize winning DNA discoverer Francis Crick and Sally Ride, the first U.S. female astronaut.


As an investigative journalist, Karen has written about major issues impacting children and families. She has seen first-hand the victims of sexual predators and sexual assault and reported on their stories. She has also written about national child homicide investigations including the JonBenet Ramsey Case.

Her passion of sharing people's personal stories is what brought her to journalism. Karen's work has appeared in many newspapers and magazines including Vanity Fair, the Los Angeles Times, San Diego Union Tribune, Redding Record Searchlight, apbnews.com and more. She has also been a guest on MSNBC, syndicated radio talk shows and cable programs.

As a public relations specialist, her forte is crisis communications and media relations. She honed those skills working as the Public Information Officer for the Oceanside (CA) Police Department (1999 - 2004).

Karen has a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from San Diego State University.
